7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7)

Yokohama, August 28-30, 1st year of Reiwa

 

TICAD is an abbreviation for Tokyo International Conference on African Development, which is an international conference on the theme of African development. Since 1993, it has been led by the Government of Japan and co-sponsored by the United Nations, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the World Bank and the African Union Commission (AUC). TICAD7 has more than 10,000 participants, including representatives of 53 African countries including 42 leaders, 52 development partner countries, 108 international and regional organizations, and civil society such as the private sector and NGOs. It was held at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama City from August 28th to 30th, 1st year of Reiwa.
