Landport Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / President: Aya Denma), which manufactures and sells the eco-friendly solar rechargeable lantern “CARRY THE SUN®”, is the first step toward achieving the SDGs. , In October 2020, we will start full-scale launch of “Buy One Give One ®”, a service that contributes to the environment and society simply by purchasing it.

Japan ranked 107th out of 126 countries in the World Giving Index 10th edition for 10 years from 2009 to 2018.
Japan should have a slogan of compassion for others so that “hospitality” is the catchphrase,
but it may be due to lack of motives or customs.
For “Buy One Give One®”, which will start this time,
if you purchase one product from the official online store,
we will deliver one CARRY THE SUN® to domestic and overseas areas where there is no light.
We aim to “realize social contribution”
that the same thing is useful for someone every time the purchaser uses CARRY THE SUN®.
In the future, we would like to prepare programs that can be participated in companies and events,
raise interest in various issues around the world, and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
■ “Buy One Give One®” is an activity that we started in 2017 with the desire to share the ordinary life with lights.
In 2019, we carried out crowdfunding,
and our staff worked with NPOs to deliver lights to disaster-stricken areas in Japan
and non-electrified areas in Asia and Africa.
We will continue this activity, which we have been doing as an event,
and always develop it at the official online store.
This service will be available at Tokyo Big Sight from October 7th to 9th, 2020.
We are planning to announce it at the gift show to be held.
